English Happy new year! In 2020, I finished a total of 67 books, which is around 52% higher than 2019. On average, I read 5.58 books/month. So, I have exceeded my target of 2 books/month again. Out of these books, 28 (around 7% increase from last year) are English books. The ratio of fiction to non-fiction is 5 to 23. It is approaching the ratio of 1 to 4 that I set at the beginning of the year, so I have accomplished my goal. In 2021, as I have begun to write a Chinese novel in the fourth quarter of 2020, I guess I would not have so much time to read now. Furthermore, I have other commitments too. Nonetheless, I will still strive to read and post at least 2 book reviews (1 Chinese and 1 English) every month. English Creativity, Inc. is the tale of Pixar. The author is the co-founder of Pixar and went on to become the President of Walt Disney Animation Studios. In this book, he offers his experience on managing these two creative organizations. I find the tips to be quite good and they could be applied in other settings too. 中文 《一往无前》细述了小米的成长经历。书中提到了小米作为一间公司所遇到的挫折以及所取得的成就。由于这是一本官方授权传记，所以内容可能会有点偏颇。不过这本书却能让读者了解创业的艰辛以及如何才有可能取得成功。

English The Power of Experiments is about experimentation. In this book, the author shows us the benefits of experimentation and how they help in management. I find the arguments in the book to be very convincing and think that experimentation would definitely help if the experiments are run well. 中文 很久已经没有读过一本能够深深触动我心灵的书了。《云边有个小卖部》的故事非常触动人心，让我印象非常深刻。故事非常悲伤，不过在绝望中又给了一丝希望。我想你也一定会被这本书打动的。

English Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits and Other Writings is a great investment book. This book shows me something that I have never thought of before and makes me refine my investment philosophy. 中文 《投资中最简单的事》超出了我对它的预期。原本以为书里的内容会是一些人尽皆知的知识，不过它却包含了一些启发我的想法。我强力推荐这本书因为这真是一本很好的投资书籍。

English Getting Things Done gives us a system to get things done. The author has put this system to test and he assures the readers that it works. I do agree with him after I tried part of the system. Want to be more efficient and relaxed? This book has the answers. 中文 《提问》就如其名，是一本关于提出问题的书。作者从她三十年的访谈经验提炼出问出好问题的技巧。作者说提升提问的能力能够改善自己的认知与沟通的品质。如果你想拥有更强的沟通能力的话，这本书应该能够让你获益匪浅。

English Normal People is a fiction about the struggle of two young people in Ireland. I find the story to be riveting and the issues discussed in the book are quite relevant to modern life. 中文 《夏天、烟火和我的尸体》是我在八月里唯一一本读完和写出书评的中文书。这本书里其实有两个故事。这两个故事都是悬疑主题。我觉得书中的故事都蛮不错，不过有点过于暗黑。

English The Spirit of Kaizen is a book about using kaizen to improve the workplace. I find this book to be very helpful if we are stuck in a rut or are looking for improvement or want to improve the motivation of the staffs. This is the only English book that I managed to finish in the last month and I am thankful that it is a great book. 中文 《为什么精英可以快速积累财富》不只是一本理财书籍，更是一本指导读者迈向成功之路的作品。作者以自己的经验写出本书，并在书里以案例来解释他的观点。我觉得作者的观点都非常有道理，如果可以身体力行的话，我们成功的几率应该就会大大提升了。

English The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the prequel to The Hunger Games Trilogy. In this book, the author shows the early life of President Snow, the villain in the trilogy. The story is great and we will see how Coriolanus Snow became the person he was in the trilogy. It shows that the environment can indeed make or break a person. 中文 《高效休息法》教导我们如何让大脑休息。书中提到的技巧并不困难，而且我觉得很有效。如果你想好好放松的话，就读一读这本书吧！

English There are a few books that I rated as 3-star in the last month but in the end I chose this book as the book of the month of June 2020. One Small Step Can Change Your Life is about employing kaizen to improve our personal lives. The suggestions in this book are not some life-changing big steps but small steps that everyone could take. If you want to improve some aspects of your life but could not muster the will to do it, try reading this book and see if it could help. 中文 《天才在左疯子在右》是一本关于精神病的记录。作者选出一些他四年里访谈精神病患者或其他人的事迹写成本书。书里的一些观点非常有趣或是新奇，非常值得一看。这本书也能够刷新我们对精神病人的刻板印象。

English Recursion is a fiction that I really enjoyed reading. The story revolves a new type of technology that allows time travel. This book is selected as the best book in the Science Fiction category of Goodreads Choice Awards 2019 and it lives up to the award. 中文 《韭菜的自我修养》的内容超越了我的预期。原本以为这是一本关于投资的简单册子，不过它却包含了很多投资的道理与心得。作者以浅显易懂的文字解释了这些投资道理。我觉得这是一本不错的投资入门书籍。
